Nigerian military to compulsorily retire ‘disgruntled, unmotivated’ soldiers, officers

The management of the Nigerian military has ordered the obligatory retirement of all ‘disgruntled or unmotivated personnel’ within the military, navy and air power.

This was disclosed in a memo by the Defence Headquarters, in accordance to PRNigeria.

The memo was signed by MB Nagenu, a Rear Admiral, on behalf of the Chief of Defence Workers, Leo Irabor.

PRNigeria quotes the memo as stating that the disgruntled and unmotivated officers and troopers not exhibit a excessive stage of undivided loyalty, and the presence of thoughts required for military operations.
“In view of the above, deployments of such personnel don’t profit the Companies and are in reality counter-productive.

“Consequently, on the identification of disgruntled or unmotivated personnel Companies are suggested to take steps to compulsorily discharge or retire such personnel consistent with extant legal guidelines,” the memo states.

Nigerian troopers are preventing on many fronts and have been deployed to over 30 of Nigeria’s 36 states, senior military officers had advised PREMIUM TIMES.

Other than preventing Boko Haram within the North-east, the military can also be main the battle in opposition to armed bandits within the North-west, separatists within the South-east and different armed teams within the North-central and South-south of the nation.
